Press Releases for Company’s Visibility

A short writing project of a specific sort, a press release is an effective tool to get the media writing and talking about your business regularly and favorably. The media has a continual need for new stories and reports.
A press release is a pseudo-news story, written in third person, intending to demonstrate to a carefully targeted editor or reporter the newsworthiness of a particular company, person, product or service, or an event. It is sent by email or snail mail.
The challenge is to write a press release that is actually newsworthy and capable of engaging public interest. Has your organization received a business award? Has your company recently expanded its business area? Has your entity created a business alliance that will increase benefits to the public? Does your firm have a new product or service, or a service that was never written about before? Has your corporation gathered new numbers based on an opinion poll or a market survey? It’s news to the general public and that is what counts.
Arrange to carry out additional business while in the event, something of benefit to the group or to the public, weaving that activity into the storyline. And of course, send out a press release for any upcoming programs that your company plans to launch.
