Break the Routine

[vc_row][vc_column][thb_gap height=”15″][vc_column_text]It is an oft-repeated dictum that man is a creature of habit. It is true by experience. Normally, people would indulge in their favorite sports to unwind and just get away for a moment from anything that must be thought of or studied on. Sports is definitely a good form to ease out the pressures of our daily routines. The challenge though with sports is that the readily affordable are the team sports while individually played sports are more expensive. Personally, I feel relaxed when I am into individual sports rather than team sports. Team sports require responsibility towards the team.  My concept of effective relaxation is the absence of responsibility even for just the duration of the games. I am fond of scuba diving but it is a bit expensive than the team sports and require travel time to and fro the sites and so with biking.[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=”25″][vc_column_text]Recently, I find city driving on a weekend enjoyable and economical. The add-ons that are not available with physical sports are the comfort of the vehicle, music while driving, and the opportunity to munch while enjoying the different sites. It is true that if you go into the wrong places you might be more stressed because of the road condition, litters, and what have you. However, it is true also that there may be a chance to discover significant things, quaint and affordable places, good foods at very reasonable prices, and sometimes make friends.[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=”40″][vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=”40″][vc_column_text]I frequent two places for breaking the routine. I go to Marikina for its orderliness and availability of reasonably priced but great tasting foods from its so-called ‘food trucks’ to homey type of dining places. One of the nice things in Marikina is that anyone could just drive through the City and interior streets without the worry of being trapped in squeeze type of road condition. The dining joints range from the nice to sit-down types to definitely quaint places. I have been into few of these joints and have no complains. The foods serve by the ‘food trucks’ are great and so with the prices. If you drive around in the late afternoon, you can spot several barbecue stands in different locations. I follow the old rule in selecting a food place. Go to where there are many people. High patronage means good food.[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=”25″][vc_column_text]Maginhawa Street of Quezon City is another place where you can drive up to and it can provide you with something to break the monotonous routine. This location offers an array of different food joints that will definitely provide you with what you maybe craving for. It has joints that serve different ethnic comfort foods. I surmise that the joints in Maginhawa Street were put-up for the student population simply because the crowds that move about are composed of student-aged groups and family type groups. People watching with cold beer and barbecue may ease the day.
